Using multiple references: separate subject, composition and style
Reduce identity mixing by assigning each reference a clear role and checking the actual input order.
Give each reference a job
A product photo supplies appearance, a sketch supplies spatial structure, and a style image supplies light or mood. If every image competes to define the subject, models may mix faces, packaging or clothing. Start with the fewest references needed.
Input limits belong to the model and integration. More files do not guarantee better results. Replace blurred, heavily occluded or incomplete references before adding further instructions.
Prepare the input on the canvas
- Group materials belonging to the same task.
- Select the intended objects and inspect the input bar.
- Remove individual unwanted inputs without dissolving the group.
- Check input order again before submission; canvas filtering changes visibility only.
Reference role prompt
Image 1 defines the product appearance; preserve its shape and logo. Image 2 supplies only the top-down composition. Image 3 supplies only soft cool lighting; do not copy its people or text. Keep the entire product visible and add no other brands.
Resolve conflicting references
Return to the subject reference alone, then add composition and style references one at a time. Review identity and structure before aesthetics. Retain the original material even after choosing a generated result, so successive edits have a stable reference.
